Technicality law is udsed tp camoufloage, it is hard to appreciate what they are actually doing and seem neutral. Butr if we riles argues that all of this language of law caqamouflages predisposition of capitalism and idea of liberal individualism. It is used to hide key things that we should be able to understand but we cant so since we cant understand it we see it as neutral because it looks boring. S8ince it is boring it kee us from understanding. Riles: her argument people try to frame problems as legal then that becomes a political dimensions. The choice to reframe something from political to legal introduces a political dimension. Field of sociolegal study: critical sociolegal study theorizes law which puts focus on lived experience as well as the relationship between formal and informal law. Tehyr are not saying tat we should turn away from lived experiences, but we should also look at elite know and state control.
