Triangulated data gathering: use diferent methods to construct a story: quanitaive data: census, sales prices, vacancies, electricity accounts, tax, etc, interview: developers, residents, displaces, secondary data: press reports and archives. Role of case studies opinions of the academia: ok for triangulaion, conirm quanitaive research; vs, should be treated as a legiimate research and used to generate theories. When to use: findings can"t be generalized, but can be very informaive, generate quesions for surveys, follow-up for survey results, diicult to maintain conideniality beter to talk about sensiive subjects in individual interviews. Quesions: structured list, set of quesion themes to interweave as opportunity arises, paricipants prepare statements about topic, themes from previous groups. During the session: audio recording, take notes, introducion, consent, overview of topic, as quesions, agree, disagree, jump in, facilitaion and moderaion from moderator. Encourage exploraion of ideas, change topic, keep on track, invite various opinions: conclude and summarize at the end.
