Nowadays we believe that psychological phenomenon are produced by the processes in the brain. Dualism there are 2 substances, matter and mind. We are interested in the view implicit in our contemporary scientific mosaic. The processes in the brain are interactions between neurons. Neuroscience the mind is a product of brain processes. Materialism/ontological physicalism there is only one substance matter. Idealism there is only one substance mind. Neutral monism there is only one substance, material-spiritual (slide 12) Material objects cannot exist without some underlying mental structure. both material and spiritual. Constructive interference when the crests and troughs of the 2 waves are in phase, the waves reinforce each other, those regions are bright.
