History of science- scientific theories: the real essence of science is the outcome which is theories (what we are interested in, changes in the mosaic of accepted theories. Aristotelian physics: the earth is the centre of the universe, which is comprised of 4 terrestial elements, earth and water (heavy) and fire and air (light) Heavy items are drawn down to the centre of the universe (basic principle of 17th century physics. Light items are drawn to ascend to the periphery of the sublunary region.
