Too much focus on quantitative and epidemiological data. Too much focus on the population without regard to context as it is experienced by individual. Leads to greater gap between rich and poor. Poor people get screwed twice in a row. Population health looks at community health; everything that makes up a community. Health is determined by interactions between individual and context/environment. Population health closely linked to distribution of health. Interventions must address all factors that determine health. Healthy public policies must be developed and outside of traditional systems. Population health looks at broad focuses that influence our health.
