As the world modernizes, democracy becomes more appealing. We can organizes ourselves, instead of one person ruling. We all have a say and the ability to participate. Equality - in political sphere we are all equal, notion of modern liberalism. Rule of law we are protected under the rule of law, governed by rules, democracy is the rule of law instead of the rule of man. Pluralism multiple interest and they all matter. Institutionalized uncertainty the ability to elect who represents us, there are winners and there are losers: even if you are a loser you are not out you can come back again, lose today win again tomorrow. Even democracy is appealing and has a lot of virtues, it is really fragile. It can be taken away as quickly as it came in. Democracy is a gradual process, it is relatively new. It took a long time for all people to have the right to vote in.
