Gh is released of endocrine cells of anterior pituitary stimulated or inhibited by 2 diff hormones of hypothalamus ghrh when released from hypothalamus will stimulate release of gh. Whereas ghih when released from hypothalamus will inhibit release of gh ghih is also known as somatostatin. If ghih stimulates the release of gh it will diffuse from anterior pituitary into systemic circulation and interact with wide range of target cells exerts numerous effects, body growth.
