Wilhelm wundt is the father of experimental psychology. First labs opened in 1879 leipzig, germany. Structuralism consciousness can be broken down into its elemental forms, thus it can be understood. Wundt and his students founded this school of thought. Much more focused on explaining the fu(cid:374)(cid:272)tio(cid:374) of (cid:272)o(cid:374)s(cid:272)ious(cid:374)ess. Behaviourism believed that studying the intangible is foolish, the mind does not need to be fully understood. Focus on observable behaviour and reaction to stimulus. Humanism came about as a reaction to freud (need to understand the unconscious), much more positive approach to understanding psychology. Highlight key passages from textbook or copy them into notes.
