Know the similarities and differences between theories. Recommended: keep notes on your personality as seen through various theories we learn in class for the analysis paper. Things to think about for the analysis paper: Go over your major phases of your past life in 5 words or less: infancy, young childhood, mid childhood, adolescence, young adulthood. Personality psychology is the scientific study of the psychological forces that make people uniquely themselves. We can say that the personality has eight key aspects: Unconscious aspects: factors that are not in moment-to-moment awareness. Ego forces that provide a sense of identity or self. Biological being: unique genetic, physical, physiological, and temperamental nature. Conditioning and shaping by experiences and surrounding environments. Cognitive dimension: thinking about and interpreting the world.
