According to kluckohn & murray (1948) there are 3 levels of analysis. There is no single right or wrong way of understanding personality. Rather, personality psychologists approach personality from different domains of knowledge. Approaches to studying & understanding personality: trait approach. Concerned with the ways that people differ from each other and how to measure & conceptualize these differences. An individual lies along a continuum of various personality characteristics, traits. Interested in the number & nature of fundamental traits, where they come from & how they develop.
