Document Summary

A heroin addict they are happy for a period of time but it is easy to see that they are not: aristotle: True happiness is virtue; virtue is something is worth doing. Golden mean: extremity is not well; middle-ground is the best. What is virtuous is dependable on each person. It has to be sensitive to the needs of the moment. Thus being in the middle is not always good, golden mean is more of a flexibility to adjust to the environment. Wise people have to be extremely astute, aware and plugged into reality, if you are not then you are not aware of what is virtuous at that moment. Reality tells you what is good and what is bad, but that is momentary and you have to be astute to be aware. Attunement: awareness: some needs are rooted in human nature and are conducive to human growth (maturation). Human nature is universal, thus it should be authentic.
