Document Summary

Lateral thoracic lateral side of the thorax: goes to the mammary gland. Brachial artery (where bp is taken): provides blood to the forearm and hand. Should know the arterial blood supply to the compartments. Anterior part of the arm, travels down to the hand. Difficult to provide a blood supply to the posterior. So it provides a deep branch (profunda brachii) provides blood to the triceps. Collateral circulation: minor blood vessels that lie near major blood vessels, to provide an alternate route for blood to travel (radial and ulnar arteries have collateral arteries) Ulnar recurrent and radial recurrent: transfers blood down to the forearm. Radial artery travels the lateral side of the arm (thumb side), runs parallel to the ulnar artery. Common interosseous gives off 2 branches: in between the membrane runs between the two arm bones. Know the blood supply and the muscles in each compartment.
