Types of vegetation - grassland: grasslands in canada are only found in the prairie provinces, these are found in relatively dry areas, the size of the grass varies with the moisture content, xerophyte: Types of vegetation - tundra: found in both artic and apline areas, these plants survive in harsh climates, they reproduce by runners (offshoots of the main plant) Adaptations of vegetation: tundra plants have shallow root systems due to the permafrost. A plant that has adapted to low amounts of water.
