Started off as a small tropical wave coast, developed into tropical depression. Thunder storms draw heat from the ocean surface. Tropical depression is a small storm with a centre of the low atmostphere pressure. Off the east atlantic, water vapour rises and coold causing the storm. After 39 miles per hour the storm is a tropical storm. Began as a tropical depression, uses energy from the warm water. Warm water and energy is sucked in and is forced upwards through the center. The storm surge is what results in the hurriccane. Tropical depresiion generates strong winds that go upwards, flatten out once they hit stratosphere, influenced earth"s rotation start turning counter-clockwise. 2 types of levees: earth and concrete in new orleans. After an incident authorities improved the levees to withstand category 3 levees. The wetlands were strenghtened from flooding and would soak up the flood water like a sponge and the trees were a wind break.
