In ancient greece, there was free man and enslaved man: free man had a lot of sexual freedom. Men had quickies but also had long-term extra-marital affairs with high class mistresses. These free men who would characteristically be a part of a symposium: a symposium in ancient greece was basically a place where all sexual hell broke loose.
