Kinesiology 2222A/B Lecture Notes - Lecture 9: Pubic Arch, Pisiform Bone, Jelly Bean
Document Summary
Feb 2nd, 2016: greater= larger and more lateral, important atachment for muscle and ligament. Bicipital groove: running along it, is the bicep tendon. Deltoid tuberosity (tubercle: important atachment for muscle called deltoid muscle. Surgical neck: area down from tubercles and above deltoid tuberosity. Anatomical neck: down from the head and above tubercles, true neck (distal) Anterior: odd shaped structure; prominent rounded structures. Heads are called condyles: rounded ends of bones, trochlea -> can see part of it from posterior view; runs more distal; hour-glass on side, capitulum -> Medial epicondyle: just above trochlea and capitulum, this is your funny bone, very prominent, nerve that runs across therefore, ingly sensaion. Ulna= more medial: big to small. Radius: small to big -> at elbow very small, as move distal it gets larger. Radial tuberosity= bicipital tuberosity: bicep muscle runs through here. Styloid processes come of both radius and ulna: atachments for ligaments that help to support the wrist bones.
