Characteristics of the grapevine: word of mouth, written notes, emails, social media, all contribute to the transmission of information, organizations often have several grapevine systems, transmit information relevant to the performance of the organization and personal gossip. Jargons: specialized language used by jobholders or members of particular organizations. Non-verbal language communication: the transmission of messages by some medium other than speech or writing. Body language: non-verbal communication by means of a sender"s bodily motions, facial expressions, etc.
