There are some things that as a manager you are not qualified to deal with. The best thing you can do is get them to counselling. There are some things you can do and some things you can"t. Behavioural plasticity theory people with low self-esteem tend to be more susceptible to external and social influences than those who have high self-esteem. Locus of control set of beliefs about whether internal or external forces are in control: someone with external believes in fate and allowing the world to take over; someone with internal believes they control it. They do this so that they can be conditioned to recall their success instead. Dispositional stable characteristics influence their behaviours of their failures: behaves in his own way, sticks to his personality, uncertainty orientated. Situational characteristics of the organizational setting influence behaviours: context where we would all behave relatively the same, norms overwhelm personality.
