Is there a way we can visualize that can teach us something. Information visualization field- became an important part of planet google. Donald norman: the design of everyday things, 1990, things that make us smart, 1993, a pioneer in (cid:862)user-centered(cid:863) design, cognitive artifact- Visualization is a human activity: representation: the display of the data in such a way that it acts as visualization tool for the user, visualization: the mental model formed by looking at, and interacting with, the representation. Is the representation we are getting, and the visualization we are doing, is it doing justice: or have we simplified in a way that makes it dangerous. Visual comprehension: superimposition- take the curves and map them on the certain axis with different colour.
