Document Summary

In this paper, i am going to begin by discussing aristotle"s view on happiness as a big idea. Next, i will discuss the main claims that aristotle makes and how he goes on to justify his claims. Afterwards, i will be stating an objection to aristotle"s claims and then further, reply in the manner that aristotle likely would. Finally, after looking at both aristotle"s point of view and the objection, i will make the claim that happiness cannot be defined and is therefore, a subjective topic. I have chosen to look at his view on the theme of happiness. This qualifies as a big idea because aristotle believes that everyone"s ultimate goal is happiness, and he explains why that is. It is significant to us because it shows how people define happiness while explaining the intentions behind every human"s actions. It gives reason to how some people choose to live happy or unhappy lives.
