Morning sickness: subdues around the 12 th week, may be any time of day, but most commonly in the morning intuition about being pregnant, more likely with successive pregnancies. Majority occur in the first 7 weeks: but risk extends up to 12 weeks in multiples after effects: mother/couple may go through mourning, and experience depression and need counselling or other social support. Sex during pregnancy generally safe throughout pregnancy changes in sexual desire: 1st trimester: decrease; due to nausea, and overall discomfort, 2nd trimester: increase, 3rd trimester: decrease. Some doctors recommend against sex in last 4 weeks, because a chemical in sperm degrades amniotic sack may increase likelihood of premature labour. Normal period of gestation = 280 days. With regard to naegele"s rule, less than 10% fall on the precise date, 50% within 1 week, and 90% within 2 weeks. Germinal stage repeated cell division is called cleavage. The blood doesn"t exchange, but veins are closely intertwined.
