What perceptual abilities are due to nature and what are do to nurture. One way to answer this is to try and see what you can do right out of the womb. Theres more to the story not just nurture do: experiment with cataracts. With humans you cant put them in a dark room for months, but what you can: these kids can be tested for perceptual abilities, natural deprivation of senses. Contrast: early perceptual tests and more recentones. Can find subtle differences you would never know in the past. 80/100 dots are moving, the other 20/100 is moving randomly. Cataracts after one year at age 10 lets say = very hard for them. Can tell if even only 10% are moving.
