Deaf people don"t see deafness as a disability, they see it as a culture. The deaf do not consider themselves a part of the public, and it is our fault for making them feel this way. My feelings - ashamed (of our culture for making deaf people feel this way), inspired (to learn more about the culture/language), and more educated. The message is fine, but it is not accessible (no closed-captioning) 4/1000 canadian babies are born with some degree of hearing loss. 1/10 people have some degree of deafness.
