Document Summary

This is a process by which people act and react in relation to others. Wrote a book called a world full of strangers . In order to survive in everyday life and urban settings we estrange ourselves from others. People in high density living like to live in high rise settings. More autonomy (cutting other people off)- such little knowledge of people in social surroundings. In high density areas like downtowns of cities there are no common curtosy that occur and no one is interacting relative to the entire group. There are specific things that make up this feeling. As societies become more complex there is less of the we feeling. People are interacting less often (as humans are more interacting around modes like media- computers, tv, phone vs. with actual people) Sense of community is changing due to everyone being plugged in. Regardless need each other and people in social connections even if it is through social media.
