Encourage social change, believe the elite (rich) control the poor. Sociology systematic study of human society and social interaction using scientific techniques. Center theme: we are not alone all of us are deeply intertwined with the reality of all nations in the world. Assists us in understand ourselves and our world. We create our world, and our world helps to create us. We share political, cultural expectations and territory. The sociological imagination or perspective enables us to grasp the connection between history and biography. It gives us the ability to see the relationship between individual experience and the larger society. Personal troubles: affect individuals, networks of people one associates with on a regular basis, i. e. suicide when a personal commits suicide, there is usually a cause public issues, affect group.
