Readings are more difficult because things are not bolded and key points are not obviously set out. Do not need to memorize the titles of the articles, but you need to know where things came from. If she mentions someone"s name, you should remember it. Will not ask specific statistics, but will ask questions testing magnitude (broad statistics) No weird little odd trick questions (ex. Colour of model"s underwear in denim jean ad) No specific dates, but 60s, 70s, 80s . ** all ads shown in class will be posted on slides online. You see 3500-4000 ads a day (not including online) We"ve come to expect to see ads everywhere: there is no where were we are actually free from advertising. Almost half of people said that advertising has more of an impact than the school system. Advertising is a very considerable part of our total culture.
