Basic definition of vegetarianism is a person who avoids consumption of animal flesh. Some vegans do not even participate in any animal products, leather, non vegan makeup etc. 7-9% of people worldwide are vegetarian or other type. Some vegans get angry at vegans who are vegan for health reasons. They believe its not for the right reasons. The more we kill consume and eat animals the more we flourish as a species. Some people believe animals purpose is to be eaten by us. Social contexts- thanksgiving turkey, barbecue, steak and lobster, ham at easter. Meals we celebrate for events often revolve around meat. Impacts that meat has, seeing meat as a body part. Vegetarians are typically leaner, not as high numbers of obesity.
