Talks a lot about sexual norms and how they change. Modern sexual identities are ranked on a hierarchy. Imagine an "erotic pyramid" where married, heterosexual couples are on the top, the unmarried monogamous heterosexual couples, lesbian and gay couples, etc. The charmed circle: the practices that are on the "inner ring" are the ones that are condoned by society. On the outer limits are the things that are "not allowed" "imaginary brick walls" that represent a line that really shouldn"t be crossed. Everything must be kept in their own little box. Then all of them fall, and its a sexual free-for-all. About being informed, recognizing that sexuality is fluid. Outer limits are: non-consensual, unaware, singular, fixed sexuality. Kink: anything that falls under non-traditional sexual and intimate desires, practices, or fantasies. Bdsm - bondage, discipline, domination, submission, sadism, and masochism. Vanilla: plain sex which is not a bad thing.
