Organizational changes can have a profound impact on organizational members and customers: the way that changes are implemented and managed is crucial to both organizational members and customers. Change and org effectiveness: must change more to be effective in a dynamic environment. What orgs can change: goals and strategies, technology, job design, structure, grouping all marketing people together, processes, doing a project sequentially or not, culture, people, hire people with different skills or train people to learn the skills. The change process kurt lewin: this sequence or process involves three basic stages, unfreezing recognize current state is unsatisfying, changing change to a more satisfactory state, refreezing make sure the change persists overtime. Organizational learning refers to the process through which an organization acquires, develops, and transfers knowledge throughout the organization: two primary methods of organizational learning, knowledge acquisition, knowledge development. Key dimensions: vision and support, culture, learning systems/dynamics, knowledge management/ infrastructure, performance benefits.
