It is important that we learned the balance between different ecological elements such as water,nutrients and pollution. For example lake erie has been considered a dead lake due to the excess pollution of pesticides and fertilizers from ontario and ohio. It is important to know the cycles of the ecosystem to better understand how to prevent damage to them. In this lesson the emphasis will be on the cycling of matter, or the water and nutrient cycles. Provide us with critical components of these systems since they provide materials for plants and animals and maintain abiotic systems and the effects human modifications have on different cycles. First noted there is a fixed supply of water on earth that gets cycles and restored. It differs from most other nutrient cycles in that most of the water remains chemically unchanged and is transformed from one physical state to another.
