Write your essay as if it was going to be read by someone who knows less about the subject than you do. Your first paragraph must have a clear thesis statement which explicitly states your argument. Introduce the subject, explain what both the thesis of your essay is and how you intend to prove it. Make sure that every subsequent paragraph expands and clarifies the thesis stated in your introduction paragraph. All essays myt have a clear organizing principle. Whichever organization principal you employ, se references to date and time periods to structure and clarify your arguments. In your concluding paragraph, briefly recapitulate your argument and remind the reader how you proved it and why it"s important. Before you begin, jot down a list of some of the important points you would like to make. These don"t have to be in any order; just brainstorm topics or arguments you would like to cover in your paper.
