Normative: is how the way things should be. A type of analysis that is value-laden, in which indications of ought or should are often used. Empirical: is observation, direct observation that is accepted as reality that can be measured empirically. The reliance on observation of the real world to test theories and gain knowledge. An assumption that nature is orderly and that things happen in a patter. If it is not testable it could not be considered science. Scientific method is more accurate, valid, a liability as well as objective. Critique humans have free will and that determinism is challenged. Challenges of share reality is relative to the individual. Can be used to explain and predict. Limitations and critiques of the scientific method. Humans have free will therefore determinism does not apply. All aspect of reality can"t be empirically measured. Positivism maintains the status quo based on the assumption that nature is order.
