Especially with trade, investment, ideas and technology. Wanted space for government autonomy with respects to certain policies that they wanted to implement. In the south isi was the most prominent approach to industrialization. An approach to economic policies that seize the role of government important. The government needs to be heavily involved. Developed/richer countries should be providing help to foreign countries for moral reasons; in the 1950-60s it was a universal policies. North-south relations: decolonization, northern support for southern development.
