The ebv is not under the control of the immune system so much. A lot of people got burkitt"s lymphoma. the b cells proliferate turn into b cell lymphoma. Nansopharyngeal carcinoma : in japan found a lot this type of cancer, it"s localized to some specific parts of the world. You can find the ebv genome in these cancer cells.
