Turnover is 7 fold faster than normal. Inflammatory cascade, increased turnover of cells immature thus no nucleus and silver scale. Blood vessels in it = bleeding of scale. Age 2 peak incidents, 20s & 50s. Pt was in correct age range when she was first diagnosed (in right range when diagnosed) Trauma can cause worsening ie picking (kobner syndrome: cutting, picking; contact, rubbing; sunburns & tattoos; surgery scar = trauma. Here it could be due to both; stress of mi is also trigger. Conversions from plaque inverse (pt does have psoriasis) Yes red, inflamed, itchy, pt bothered by it & looking for something. Pt has had psoriasis in other regions. Psoriasis w/o treatment can lead to arthritis (genetic component) & pt has co- If no treatment it could spread and get worse morbidities; plaque size increased w/ time. Affects qol and could cause pt more stress = more flare ups, so treat = less stress to pt.
