The use of satire can either be positive or negative, depending on what the person intends to do with it. Two ideas: antonio gramsci wrote about how people were deceived into believing that their interests were the same as those in power, when in fact those people with power were just using them and giving them ideological ideas. He explained this theory by using something called a. Common sensical leadership, which is a type of leadership where those below power would not question those in power, or at least try to overthrow them, and would instead listen to everything they were told to do. Michel foucault: he explains that power is never total. that even those two diseases of totalitarian power (hitler and stalin) could not occupy control over all sectors of society. There were pockets of resistance in society that operated during those regimes. Power: foucault advanced the idea that power is everywhere.
