Heart has 4 chambers - allows heart to pump against high pressure. Vessels/arteries on the heart - important since this is how the heart itself gets oxygen to be able to do the work. If there is a problem with these vessels/arteries, then likely heart probable ischemia, chest pain, heart attack - can be fatal (left coronary artery - services left ventricle, right coronary artery - services right side of the heart) Pulmonary arteries - take away the deoxygenated blood from the heart and send it to the lungs for oxygenation ---- all arteries move (stuff) away fromt the heart. Superior vena cava and inferior vena cava - largest tubes in the body that carry blood - draining blood from the head and rest of body. Then eventually this leads to angina or heart attack. Atria - job is to fill with blood that is returning to the heart - they have thin walls so they fill easily.
