Group 2 presentation: musical instruments of india. Musical instruments are classified into four groups. Sushira (wind instruments involving air to pass through to make sound). Avanadh (percussion instruments like drums covered with skins). Insruments and music can be related back to ancient scriptures and mythology/ Indian musicians in the north have adopted western instruments, especially in the modern films. South indian films are still reliant on classical indian instruments: indian film song. Movies released between 1900 1915 had no actors, no plots, only songs and dances. There was change in the industry after partition and independence. Film songs were punished from the air (radio), but soon regained itself. The power in the film songs was stronger and gained strength through the air. Piracy and operation flood are the two main factors that threaten the success of alluring possibilities for film songs: film music: pleasure and popularity. Audiences most pleasurable experience was to see the songs.
