Amen lives in back of temple in the holiest part. Women were allowed in the courts but not in the temple area. Unless they were singers of amen or a god"s wife (relative of king) Every man was a priest 3 months out of the year. There were different levels of access: housekeeping, accountants, preform ritual. Only the pharaoh could go wherever he wants. In the back of the temple there was a special kiosk wall where the gods" ears were carved so people could talk to him. It would take 5 grown men to fit around them. It would take one and a half to fit in a classroom. Vertical slates along roof let in the only light. Amen and gods are the only ones to see the decoration at the top of the columns. Temple is supposed to be where creation happens over and over again.
