The united states invasion of iraq in 2003: as a result, iran became more powerful once the united states invaded its rival, iraq. o. Since then, iraq has been unstable and is still not a fully sovereign country, although it is getting close. The current government does not rule all of iraq"s territory. Syrians have been fleeing for the past 5 years, but it is now considered a crisis because they have begun to flee from the middle east into western countries. Spring referred to the fall of communism (i. e. the fall of arab communism). o. Prior to 2011, there had been no revolutions in arabian countries. In 2011, 4 revolutions occurred and the regime changed 4 times. o o. The people overthrew the dictators of these countries. Countries involved (in order): tunisia, egypt, libya, yemen, syria. Revolution in tunisia: the dictator told the army to shut down the protests with force, but they refused.
