Document Summary

Aircraft communication is key just like in multicellular organisms. Aircrafts do not crash into each other since the people at the control tower send message through different frequencies that the aircraft can receive. In cells there is a receptor and these receptors accept specific signal molecules that cause the cells internal activities to change (ex. protein synthesis or metabolic reactions) These helps the organism grow, develop, reproduce, and react with environmental changes. Cells that are adjacent use this and it is a rapid mean of communication. Small molecules and ions are exchanged directly between the two cytoplasm. In animals, the direct channels of communication is called gap junctions. This is used to synchronize metabolic activities or electrical signals. Signals and responses are spread this way and a response in one cell can trigger the response in another. Molecules on the surface of the cells directly interact with other cells. If an invader is found using this, it is then engulfed.
