Intimacy: what is intimacy, what are some characteristics of intimate relationships, how do we develop the ability to be intimate. 10 signs of intimate relationship: trust, willingness to take risks, being authentic in a relationship unconditional love, good listeners, thinking of your partner first, fulfilling sexual relationship, good communication; being honest, ability to know ourselves. Falling in love: why + who: physical appearance, competence, reciprocal liking, similarity, proximity. Lee"s style of loving: romantic (eros, game-playing (ludus, possessive (mania, companionate (storge, altruistic (agape, pragmatic (pragma) 6 qualities of love: respect, trust, honesty, fairness, equality, good communication. + commitment = companionate love: commitment. Attachment: attachment style ( ainsworth, early attachments influence our attachments later on, amount of love/nurture affects us later. Communication: why sexual communication is difficult. Women want to vent and talk about our feelings. Unsure how to talk about it: 3 components. Self-disclosure: revealing personal information, don"t say nothing is wrong, don"t rely on body language or cues.
