If we rewind the clock, there is a singularity, which is the big bang. In 1929, edwin hubble observed that groups of galaxies are all moving away from each other. Everyone thinks everyone else is moving away from them = space itself is moving. Every galaxy isn"t moving, they have no velocity. Space itself is moving (raisin bread dough analogy)
