Take a case study approach to final essay look at specific case/instance of something; narrow down topic as much as possible and narrow down population of study. Use ethnographic sources for final structure of essay. Get inside cultural structures and then meaningfully take them apart. Ethos journal will be helpful available through clio. At least 7 sources; each book is a source, not each chapter. Presentation about final paper will be 10-12 minutes. In cultural psychology, we want to keep people in their context; look at their history, what"s going on economically, politics. When the hmong came to the us, they were coming with long history of persecution, difficulty, problems; they arrived in this specific context; their histories, especially of loss, migration, and violence, affected them once they landed in the us. The hmong journey to the us is just the latest chapter in their long story of migration, trauma, loss.
