Not until 1942 or early 1943 that fdr will help britain: once tide had turned from island hopping, fdr can go to europe to help, allied powers indirect creation. Fdr and churchill fight over where to go first: decide to attack north africa by late 1943, allied powers control area, next they go to italy.
