First social cognitive theory of personality (george kelly 1955) We each classify our own world by developing personal constructs: characteristic ways of construing how some things are alike and others diferent. Bruce is very serious but tony not so much. Personal construct of quiet and loud- creates meaning as to how we would interact with these individuals. Some of our personal constructs can subsume others. Vary with regards to permeability: permeable construct is open to change- allows things to go through so it is not rigid, allows for lexibility, constructs can vary in regards to this. A person would be very open minded, open to new ideas and perspectives. Can be easily led astray and people take advantage of you- diicult to create a sense of your own self.
