A lot of people tend to start with freud and then deviate. Human beings are motivated by internal urges and visions of death, sex, aggression, life, etc. and it exists as a common evolutionary heritage. Freud was about separate but interacting systems- ego . But jung: there are there main organizations, ego, personal conscious, and collective unconscious: ego feelings of identity and continuity, emphasize the unconscious in terms of personality. Personal unconscious: contains the forgotten information and the repressed memories. Collective unconscious: the second layer, the crust of jung"s theory: level of the unconscious that is shared with other species that consists of our evolutionary past, the form of the world that is born within us. Human mind has innate characteristics as an evolutionary by product. *** prioritize spirtuality more than any other theorist. Mothers have played such an active role that there are templates of why mothers act the way they do comfort, nurturing, etc.
