Courbet: burial at ornans, studio of a painter: a real allegory summarizing my seven years of life as an artist. Manet: gare saint-lazare (no shadows, depth, chiaroscuro, etc. ; light source is behind painter: the waitress, luncheon on the grass (tribute to courbet) - 1863, the fifer, a bar at the folies-bergere. The title impressionism came from monet"s impression: sunrise. Degas: the rehearsal on the stage, carriage at the races, the absinth drinker, prima ballerina, the tub (weird points of view) Monet: on the bank of the seine, benne-court, the water lilies (sequel of ^, red boats, rouen cathedral: the portal (in sun) ; more than 30 versions, argenteuil (landscape) Morisot: the artist"s sister at a window, la lecture (reading) Pissarro: landscapes, the cote de boeufs at l" hermitage, place du theatre francais. Whistler: nocturne in black and gold: the falling rocket, convicted of slander, but only had to pay one dollar.
