Crito shows up and tries to convince socrates put himself into a position to save socraties this is a notion and duty of friendship and he is attempting to show this by his courageous act. Crito gives him an example of what friendship looks like these are all ideas enacted in the dialogue in the very beginning which socrates immediately begins to dismantle with his unmistakable logic. Socrates wants to persuade crito by reason he presents this almost like a game in speeches. Exposition -> action in dialogue exposition by way of persuasion in relation to socrates with crito. > he has a conscience of what is just. Socrates thinks while the rest of the people not he thinks in the context of conscience thinking about actions and examining ourselves ideal form of thinking for socrates most men don"t take this self-examination seriously.
