Earlier theories: any metaphor was posible (the wilder the mapping, the more poetic) Achilles is a lion not based on physical similarity, but ideas/concepts. Conceptual patterns are rooted in human embodied experiences. Metaphoric mappings merigng directl yfrom correlations in experience. Scale-quantity, small quantity, large quantity, increasing, decreasing.
